THE TRUTH ABOUT TRINITY - Part 1

We are still on our series, Mystery Babylon. We are looking at the Wine of her fornication which are false and unscriptural doctrines that she has made the inhabitants of the earth drunk. 

In our last two articles, we looked at the Truth about Christmas. I believe you find it revelatory and also an eye opener to the Truth. 

The next false doctrine we are looking into is on Trinity. I will be going to the root and Origin of it so that a sincere and true born again child of God can know the Truth which will make him or her free. 

Many people assume that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit form what is commonly known as the trinity. The doctrine of the trinity is usually summed up as a belief in one God existing in three distinct but equal persons. But did you realize that even though it is a common assumption among many sincere Christian people, the word

trinity does not appear anywhere in the Bible?

In fact, the word trinity did not come into common use as a religious term until centuries after the last books of the Bible were completed and long after the apostles of Christ were gone from the scene! Could the trinity doctrine have pagan origins?

Notice this admission in the New Bible Dictionary , “ The term trinity is not itself found in the Bible. It was first used by Tertullian at the close of the 2nd century, but received wide currency [common use in intellectual discussion] and formal elucidation [clarification] only in the 4th and 5th centuries.” — (1996, “Trinity”)

The New Bible Dictionary goes on to explain that “the formal doctrine of the Trinity was the result of several inadequate attempts to explain who and what the Christian God really is ... To deal with these problems the Church Fathers met in [A.D.] 325 at the Council of Nicaea to set out an orthodox biblical definition concerning the divine identity.” However, it wasn't until 381, “at the Council of Constantinople, [that] the divinity of the Spirit was affirmed. ”

While Tertullian introduced the term “trinity,” what he taught and believed is different to what the trinity doctrine is today. And since he introduced this term, then that means the trinity doctrine as taught today did not exist in the time of Tertullian. And if it did not exist in his time, then it could never have existed in the time of Christ and the apostles.

Tertullian however did introduce pagan ideas into the worship service. He taught oblations for the dead and made the sign of the cross on the forehead of worshipers. He also dipped people three times to baptize them. Tertullian freely admitted that he had adopted these ideas from pagan teachings and could not support them from Scripture, but he thought that if Christians adopted some heathen rituals of the pagans that they would find it easier to join Christianity.

Wikipedia states what Tertullian believed on the Godhead:

Tertullian was just a forerunner of the Nicene doctrine and did not state the immanent trinity. His use of trinitas (Latin: 'Threeness') emphasised the manifold character of God. In his treatise against Praxeas he used the words, “Trinity and economy, persons and substance. ” The Son is distinct from the Father, and the Spirit from both the Father and the Son. “These three are one substance, not one person; and it is said, 'I and my Father are one' in respect not of the singularity of number but the unity of the substance. ” In his book Tertullian against Praxeas, he also states that the Son was not co-eternal with the Father and did have a beginning as the begotten Son of God. He also did not teach that the Holy Spirit was a literal being. So the trinity doctrine as we know it today did not even come from the man who introduced the word Trinity. 

So the doctrine of the trinity wasn't formalized until long after the Bible was completed and the apostles were long dead in their graves, and long after the man who introduced the word Trinity was dead and in his grave. It took later theologians centuries to sort out what they believed and to formulate the belief in the trinity!

By no means are theologians' explanations of the trinity doctrine clear. Religious writer A.W. Tozer in his book

The Knowledge of the Holy states that the trinity is an “incomprehensible mystery” and that attempts to understand it “must remain forever futile. ” He admits that Churches, “without pretending to understand, ” have nevertheless continued to teach this doctrine (1961, pp. 17, 18) He then remarkably concludes, “The fact that it cannot be satisfactorily explained, instead of being against it, is in its favor. ”  (p. 23)

The New Unger's Bible Dictionary in its article on the trinity concedes that the Trinitarian concept is humanly incomprehensible, “It is admitted by all who thoughtfully deal with this subject that the Scripture revelation here leads us into the presence of a deep mystery; and that all human attempts at expression are of necessity imperfect. ” — (1988, p. 1308)

Cyril Richardson, professor of Church history at New York's Union Theological Seminary, though a dedicated Trinitarian himself said this in his book The Doctrine of The Trinity , “My conclusion, then, about the doctrine of the Trinity is that it is an artificial construct ... It produces confusion rather than clarification; and while the problems with which it deals are real ones, the solutions it offers are not illuminating. It has posed for many Christians dark and mysterious statements, which are ultimately meaningless, because it does not sufficiently discriminate in its use of terms. ” —

(1958, pp. 148-149)

He also admitted, “Much of the defense of the Trinity as a 'revealed' doctrine, is really an evasion of the objections that can be brought against it. ” — (p. 16)

A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge states regarding the trinity, “Precisely what that doctrine is, or rather precisely how it is to be explained, Trinitarians are not agreed among themselves. ” — (Lyman Abbott, editor, 1885, “Trinitarians”)

Why do even those who believe in the trinity doctrine find it so difficult to explain?

The answer is simple yet shocking. It is because the Bible does not teach it! One cannot prove or explain something from the Bible that is not Biblical. The Bible is our only reliable source of divine revelation. And the truth as we will see is that the trinity concept simply is not part of God's revelation to mankind.

These following admissions from a number of reputable sources and authors who, while themselves affirming the Trinity, acknowledge that the word Trinity and the doctrine is not found in the Bible.

The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia acknowledges that “'trinity' is a second-century term found nowhere in the Bible, and the Scriptures present no finished trinitarian statement. ” — (1988, Vol. 4, “Trinity,” p. 914). It further states that “church fathers crystallized the doctrine in succeeding centuries”—long after the apostles had passed from the scene.

Martin Luther who was the German priest who initiated the Protestant Reformation said, “It is indeed true that the name 'Trinity' is nowhere to be found in the Holy Scriptures, but has been conceived and invented by man. ” — (reproduced in The Sermons of Martin Luther, John Lenker, editor, Vol. 3, 1988, p. 406)

Historian and science fiction writer H.G. Wells in his noted work The Outline of History stated, “There is no evidence that the apostles of Jesus ever heard of the trinity—at any rate from him. ” — (1920, Vol. 2, p. 499)

The HarperCollins Encyclopedia of Catholicism says, “Today, however, scholars generally agree that there is no doctrine of the Trinity as such in either the OT or the NT ... It would go far beyond the intention and thought-forms of the OT to suppose that a late-fourth-century or thirteenth-century Christian doctrine can be found there ... Likewise, the NT does not contain an explicit doctrine of the Trinity. ” — (Richard McBrien, general editor, 1995, “God,” pp. 564, 565)

And the HarperCollins Bible Dictionary states, “The formal doctrine of the Trinity as it was defined by the great church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries is not to be found in the NT. ” — (Paul Achtemeier, editor, 1996, “Trinity”)

Professor Charles Ryrie wrote, “Many doctrines are accepted by evangelicals as being clearly taught in the Scripture for which there are no proof texts. The doctrine of the Trinity furnishes the best example of this. It is fair to say that the Bible does not clearly teach the doctrine of the Trinity . . . In fact, there is not even one proof text, if by proof text we mean a verse or passage that 'clearly' states that there is one God who exists in three persons. ” — (Basic Theology, p. 89)

He goes on to say, “The above illustrations prove the fallacy of concluding that if something is not proof texted in the Bible we cannot clearly teach the results . . . If that were so, I could never teach the doctrine of the Trinity. ” — (lbid, p. 90)

Shirley Guthrie, professor of theology at Columbia Theological Seminary wrote, “The Bible does not teach the doctrine of the Trinity. Neither the word 'trinity' itself nor such language as 'one-in-three,' 'three-in-one,' one 'essence' (or 'substance'), and three 'persons,' is biblical language. The language of the doctrine is the language of the ancient church taken from classical Greek philosophy. ” — (Christian Doctrine, 1994, pp. 76, 77). 

Millard Erickson who is a research professor of theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary writes that the Trinity “is not clearly or explicitly taught anywhere in Scripture, yet it is widely regarded as a central doctrine, indispensable to the Christian faith. In this regard, it goes contrary to what is virtually an axiom of biblical doctrine, namely, that there is a direct correlation between the scriptural clarity of a doctrine and its cruciality to the faith and life of the church. In view of the difficulty of the subject and the great amount of effort expended to maintain this doctrine, we may well ask ourselves what might justify all this trouble. ” — (God in Three Persons: A Contemporary Interpretation of the Trinity, p. 12)

He further states that the Trinity teaching “is not present in biblical thought, but arose when biblical thought was pressed into this foreign mold [of Greek concepts]. Thus, the doctrine of the Trinity goes beyond and even distorts what the Bible says about God. ” — (lbid, p. 20)

He also stated, “It is claimed that the doctrine of the Trinity is a very important, crucial, and even basic doctrine. If that is indeed the case, should it not be somewhere more clearly, directly, and explicitly stated in the Bible? If this is the doctrine that especially constitutes Christianity's uniqueness ... how can it be only implied in the biblical revelation? ... For here is a seemingly crucial matter where the Scriptures do not speak loudly and clearly.

Little direct response can be made to this charge. It is unlikely that any text of Scripture can be shown to teach the doctrine of the Trinity in a clear, direct, and unmistakable fashion. ” — (lbid, pp. 108, 109). 

Since the trinity is not found in the Bible as so many scholars and theologians admit, then how did it come to be viewed as such an important teaching?

Theology professors Roger Olson and Christopher Hall explain part of the puzzle in their book The Trinity, “It is understandable that the importance placed on this doctrine is perplexing to many lay Christians and students. Nowhere is it clearly and unequivocally stated in Scripture ... How can it be so important if it is not explicitly stated in Scripture? ...

The doctrine of the Trinity developed gradually after the completion of the New Testament in the heat of controversy, but the church fathers who developed it believed they were simply exegeting [explaining] divine revelation and not at all speculating or inventing new ideas. The full-blown doctrine of the Trinity was spelled out in the fourth century at two great ecumenical (universal) councils: Nicea (325 A.D.) and Constantinople (381 A.D.). ” — (2002, pp. 1, 2)

Can we even know when Jesus was born?

December 25th is universally celebrated as Jesus Christ’s birthday. Around the world Christians celebrate the season and the day by giving gifts, being with family and friends. Even for those who aren’t Christian it’s a season of joyous celebration.
So, When was Jesus Christ born? Let's find out...
Every year, we hear Christmas carols all about the baby Jesus in the manger and the winter wonderland associated with His birth. If we look at our calendar, chances are, right there on December 25th, it says Christmas Day. The birth of Jesus Christ is said to be the reason behind the season. But of course every year people worry about the fact that Christ is not in the season. But was Christ actually born on Christmas Day - on December 25th? It’s not as clear and simple as our calendars would suggest.
If we look into it, we find that December 25th wasn’t always considered Jesus’ birth date.

Although it is difficult to determine the first time anyone celebrated December 25th as Christmas Day, historians are in general agreement that it was sometime during the fourth century. Now this is an amazingly late date. Think about it! What this means is that Christmas - which most consider Jesus’ birthday - wasn’t observed by the Roman church until about 300 years after Christ’s death. Christmas cannot be traced back to either the teachings or the practices of the earliest Christians. That sounds almost impossible, doesn’t it? But it’s true.
So why did the Roman church adopt Christmas Day as the time to celebrate Jesus’ birth? The reason His birthday is celebrated now, at that time, is because religious leaders of the day wanted to give a pagan festival a name change and to make it easier for pagans to convert over to Christianity.

Listen to this quote from the Encyclopedia Americana which makes it very clear:
“In the fifth century, the Western Church ordered it [speaking of Christ’s birth] to be observed forever on the day of the old Roman feast of the birth of Sol [who is the sun god], as no certain knowledge of the day of Christ’s birth existed” (1944 edition, “Christmas”).
The reason for this confusion is not surprising. The Bible doesn’t actually tell us the exact date of Jesus Christ’s birth. There is no specific date given. What’s more, there aren’t any mentions of any celebrations being held honoring Christ’s birth date by the early church.
And by the early church we mean the church that we read about in the book of Acts. These people followed Jesus Christ’s example and teaching to the letter. And none of that included celebrating the day of His birth. There is no command to celebrate Christ’s birthday found in all of Scripture, certainly not in Christ’s teachings, nor in the letters of the apostles who founded the church.

As Christians, you and I should desire to follow Christ’s example and His teaching and that of His church. And nowhere do we find in Scripture that Jesus instructed us to celebrate His birthday - its just not there. And the apostles to whom the faith delivered, was given and who translated that and transferred it to the church, they followed Christ’s example in everything they did.
Again, there is no record of the early church celebrating Christmas or for that matter, the birth of Jesus Christ in any way shape or form.
Even so, it is possible that we can generally know the time or the season of the birth of Christ. Because there are distinct clues that give us an idea about the time of year that He was born.

So, what about December 25th? 

Is it possible the Roman church accidentally adopted the correct date for Jesus’ birth? Well, a careful Bible study shows that the middle of winter was absolutely not the time Christ was born.

There are two big reasons why Christmas or December 25th can’t be the time of Christ’s birth.

(1). We know from the Gospel accounts that the shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of the birth of Jesus.
Luke’s account of the birth of Jesus found in chapter 2 of the Gospel of Luke tells us a great deal of the details of many of the facts surrounding that birth. Here is what it says:
“And she brought forth her firstborn Son” - speaking of Christ’s mother, Mary - “and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them at the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night” ( Luke 2:7-8 ).

Listen to what Adam Clarke’s Commentary mentions about the significance of what we just read here in Luke’s account. It says:
“… Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According to [a book entitled]
Celebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays , Luke’s account ‘suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks at night’ (p. 309).”
Now, what do we have here? We have a recording. A historical fact about shepherds and the flocks in the cold, wet winter. They just weren’t there in the fields. The conditions were not appropriate for that to be taking place.

Now let’s look at what another source says. The Interpreter’s One-Volume Commentary says this passage argues “against the birth [of Christ] occurring on December 25th since the weather would not have permitted shepherds watching over their flocks in the fields at night.”
So the first reason we know He wasn’t born in December was that there were shepherds in the fields tending their flocks, something that wouldn’t have been happening in the cold Judean winter.

(2). The second reason we know Jesus wasn’t born in December is that His parents traveled to Bethlehem to register in a Roman census (Luke 2:1-4 ). Such censuses were not taken in winter, when the temperatures often dropped below freezing and the roads were in poor condition thus inhibiting travel. Taking a census under such conditions would have been self-defeating, since it would have been too difficult for Judean residents to travel and to be counted. Travel back then wasn’t as easy as it is today. We live in an age of heated vehicles and snow plowed roads.
We have to understand what it was like in the culture and the setting of that time in the first century.

Now based on these two facts alone, we see that it’s impossible that the biblical account of Jesus’ birth happened in the winter, let alone on the specific date of December 25th. More than being a simple incorrect guess, the December 25th date was really an attempt to synthesize pagan worship into Christian worship.
We’ve proven that He wasn’t born on Christmas day or December 25th.

So when was Jesus born? 

(1). We find the important clues about the real time of Jesus’ birth in what the Bible tells us about His cousin, John the Baptist.
Maybe you’ve read the Gospel of Luke and thought it was strange that the book and the story begins not with the story of the conception of Jesus, but with the story of the conception of John the Baptist. There’s a very good reason for this. Luke was sure to tell us in very specific detail when John the Baptist was conceived and born.

In Luke 1, it tells us that John’s mother, Elizabeth was six months pregnant when Jesus was conceived.
“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary…” ( Luke 1:24-27 ).

Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, were cousins. That means that from this verse, we know that John was six months older than Jesus. So we can discover the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born.

Now let’s look at what the Bible tells us about the time of John’s birth.
John’s father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Temple at Jerusalem. The Bible tells us that he and his wife were both righteous people who put their hearts into serving God. Zacharias, we’re told, was a priest ( Luke 1:5 ).

At this time, the Temple priests in Jerusalem were divided into several different “divisions” or what were called “courses” - or groups of priests that would take turns performing Temple service during the year. It’s like a yearly schedule for those serving at the Temple. There were so many priests at the time that they had to be set up on a schedule to have their time to serve in the Temple.
Now, here’s what’s important. Historians calculate that the course of Abia mentioned by Luke, during which Zacharias served, happened from June 13-19 in that year
(The Companion Bible , 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200).

The announcement therefore to Zacharias in the Temple as to the conception of John the Baptist took place between June 13-19 as our calendar has it today in that year.
During his Temple service, the angel Gabriel appeared to Zacharias and announced to him that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a child (Luke 1:8-13 ). After he completed his service and traveled home, Elizabeth conceived the cousin of Jesus; the child that would one day become John the Baptist ( Luke 1:23-24 ). It seems that John’s conception took place near the end of June which was after the division of Abia and Zecharias completed his Temple service, adding nine months brings us to the end of March the next year as the most likely time for John’s birth.
Adding another six months - the difference between the ages of John and Jesus ( Luke 1:35-36 ) - brings us to the end of September or early October as the likely time of Jesus’ birth.
Now, when we look back and we look at this timeframe, we learn some interesting facts.

Zacharias, remember, was serving during the course of Abia which was in the middle part of June of that year when he heard the announcement of his son’s birth. He went home, his wife conceived John the Baptist toward the end of June that year. Nine months later, John the Baptist was born in the spring, probably during the month of March as we know it today.
Six months later, Jesus Christ was born. Therefore, Christ is six months younger than his cousin and was born most likely in the fall sometime in the timeframe of September or early October of that year.

(2) Even the dates proves this as a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus Christ died in April 33AD, and record has it hat He lived for 33 and 1/2 years.
Now, let's do a quick calculation... 33 and 1/2 years means 33years and 6 months. 30 years will lead us back to month of April on the dot, but adding 6 more months to April leads us to...... What?...... Late September or early October of course. So where did they got their own date of December 25 from...
If they say Easter (Another false Doctrine and christianised Pagan festival), which they call the celebration of Christ's death and resurrection April, but the question is where the hell did December now became the month of Jesus Christ Birth? I'm not surprised, Babylon means Confusion.... They are confused and confusing many innocent souls but God is never an author of confusion.


What of A Red Santa and a Green Christmas Tree?

Among many today the central figure of Christmas is not Jesus but the man in the red suit. “Santa Claus, probably the most widely accepted of all the symbols of Christmas, arrived in Britain sometime during the 1880s from America, where he had long reigned as the gift-bringing St. Nicholas of the German and Dutch settlers.
“By the 1890s the English Father Christmas, originally a minor character in a mummer’s play, had been absorbed into the personality of his American counterpart [Santa Claus], and become the jovial figure that he is today … Santa Claus was accompanied and associated with ghosts and demons … Children are solemnly warned that only if they are very good will they receive their presents” (Cavendish, p. 483).

Why would Christian parents lie to their children in telling them Santa delivers gifts from the North Pole on Christmas Eve? How can Christians correlate the wise men’s meaningful gifts for the future King of Kings to Santa’s gifts for their children?

And what of the tradition of the Christmas tree? 

“Equally old was the practice of the Druids, the caste of priests among the Celts of ancient France, Britain and Ireland, to decorate their temples with mistletoe, the fruit of the oak-tree which they considered sacred. Among the German tribes the oak-tree was sacred to Odin, their god of war, and they sacrificed to it until St Boniface, in the eighth century, persuaded them to exchange it for the Christmas tree, a young fir-tree adorned in honour of the Christ child … It was the German immigrants who took the custom to America” (L.W. Cowie and John Selwyn Gummer, The Christian Calendar, 1974, p. 22).

Would Christ participate in Christmas today?

Would Jesus Christ take part in a festival that, while stated to be in His honor, actually diametrically opposes Him by celebrating the worship of false gods? If He did, He would be violating the laws of God He Himself had proclaimed—thus sinning (see, for example, Deuteronomy 12:29-32 ). If He sinned, we have no Savior and no salvation.
God is the Author of life-saving truths—not of immaculately coiffed falsehoods. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” ( John 8:32 ). Lies are of Satan: “The devil … does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44 ).
Christmas blinds well-meaning people to its false narrative. We can’t put Christ back in Christmas, as many seek to do, because He was never there in the first place. Misguided people put Him there. What does that mean for us?

Jesus asked the religious leaders of His day: “Why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?” (Matthew 15:3). And He further said: “These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” ( Matthew 15:8-9).
Satan wants to destroy many. He presents himself as an angel of light ( 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 ) but lives in and creates spiritual darkness (Ephesians 6 :12 ).
He promotes lies instead of truth, glittering lights instead of the true light of God, and mesmerizing music and false platitudes instead of the truth of salvation. He hopes to deceive humanity through holidays that honor a lie, not God.

Conclusion

Certainly Christmas is an intoxicating elixir, but you can break free from its debilitating addiction. You now have a choice to follow God’s instruction or to follow a holiday that originated in worship of ancient false gods. May God lead you to obey His holy will and honor Him always!

THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRISTMAS - PART 1

We are still on our series, Mystery Babylon. In our previous two articles we look into the wine of her fornication, which is interpreted as false doctrines and lies of the false church which has made the inhabitants of the earth drunk of. So, we want to start with the false doctrine of Christmas. In the next two or three teachings, I want to go into details about Christmas, it's Origin and why a true child of God should not celebrate it. Thank it's around the corner, so this is the best time to teach on it. 

Most also accept that Christmas traditions like a brightly ornamented tree and a red-suited Santa are acceptable ways of honoring our Savior. Does your Bible agree with these assumptions? There’s one way to prove it: Check your Bible and the many secular sources about Christmas.

Historical and biblical evidence clearly proves that Christmas is a Pagan festival that was christianised in order to accommodate many false religion into the church system, and that's Babylon for you. Babylon is the sum-total of all false religion. So, Christmas is not biblical, and it’s not of God. I'm not against celebrating the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, it's what we ought to celebrate everyday but, we have to put it right and sound it clear by the scriptures that Jesus was not born on December 25. The inarguable fact is that Christmas isn’t supported by your Bible. 

Was Jesus born on Christmas Day?

The first question to ask is whether Jesus was even born on the traditional date of Dec. 25. Luke’s Gospel records the event: “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night” ( Luke 2:7-8 ). No mention of date so far. And does this scene fit with a winter birth?

Alexander Hislop wrote in his book The Two Babylons: “There is not a word in the Scriptures about the precise day of His birth, or the time of the year when He was born. What is recorded there implies that at what time … His birth took place, it could not have been on the 25th of December.

“At the time that the angel announced His birth to the shepherds of Bethlehem, they were feeding their flocks by night in the open fields. Now, no doubt, the climate of Palestine is not so severe as the climate of this country [England]; but even there, though the heat of the day be considerable, the cold of the night, from December to February, is very piercing, and it was

not the custom for the shepherds of Judea to watch their flocks in the open fields later than about the end of October. It is in the last degree incredible, then, that the birth of Christ could have taken place at the end of December” (1959, pp. 91-92).

Consider the highly improbable fact that a pregnant woman would travel a long distance, in wet and cold winter conditions, to be registered for a census to be taxed. “… The middle of winter was not fitting for such a business, especially for women with child, and children to travel in. Therefore, Christ could not be born in the depth of winter …

“And if any shall think the winter wind was not so extreme in these parts, let him remember the words of Christ in the gospel, ‘Pray that your flight be not in the winter.’ If the winter was so bad a time to flee in, it seems no fit time for shepherds to lie in the fields, and women and children to travel in” (ibid, p. 92, quoting scholar Joseph Mede). The better argument is that Jesus was likely born in late September through mid-October.

Where did Christmas come from?

If it can be shown that the historical birth of Jesus wasn’t the real root of the holiday, where did it come from?

Hislop explains this as well: “Long before the fourth century, and long before the Christian era itself, a festival was celebrated among the heathen [that is, the pagans], at that precise time of the year, in honour of the birth of the son of the Babylonian queen of heaven; and it may fairly be presumed that, in order to conciliate the heathen, and to swell the number of the nominal adherents of Christianity, the same festival was adopted by the Roman Church, giving it only the name of Christ. This tendency on the part of Christians to meet Paganism half-way was very early developed” (ibid., p. 93).

Secular and biblical evidence shows that the modern Christmas traditions came from the ancient winter solstice or Mithraic festival, adopted and celebrated by the Romans.

“Christmas has its origin in two ancient festivals, the great Yule-feast of the Norsemen and the Roman Saturnalia. During the Saturnalia, gifts were made by the wealthy to the poor in honor of the golden age of liberty when Saturn ruled the known world, and slaves were allowed to change places and clothing with their masters. They even elected their own king who, for the period of the festival, ruled as a despot. The Saturnalia involved the wildest debauchery, and was a festival of Pan himself” (Richard Cavendish, Man, Myth and Magic , 1983, Vol. 2, p. 480).

The Catholic writer Tertullian complained around A.D. 230 about the ancient festival period that led to Christmas: “‘By us … who are strangers to [Jewish] Sabbaths and new moons, and festivals, once acceptable to God, the Saturnalia, the feasts of January, the Brumalia, and Matronalia, are now frequented; gifts are carried to and fro, new year’s day presents are made with din, and sports and banquets are celebrated with uproar; oh, how much more faithful are the heathen to their religion, who take special care to adopt no solemnity from the Christians’” (quoted by Hislop, p. 93).

“Upright men strove to stem the tide, but in spite of all their efforts, the apostacy went on, till the Church, with the exception of a small remnant, was submerged under Pagan superstition. That Christmas was originally a Pagan festival, is beyond all doubt. The time of the year, and the ceremonies with which it is still celebrated, prove its origin” (ibid.).

The bottom line: Christmas came from a post-earlychutch, pagan festival.

Why was Christmas set on December 25?

Consider this surprising admission in the New Catholic Encyclopedia ’s explanation of why Christmas was set on December 25: “According to the hypothesis suggested by H. Usener, developed by B. Botte, and accepted by most scholars today, the birth of Christ was assigned the date of the winter solstice (December 25 in the Julian calendar, January 6 in the Egyptian), because on this day, as the sun began its return to the northern skies, the pagan devotees of Mithra celebrated the dies natalis Solis Invicti (birthday of the invincible sun).

“On Dec. 25, [A.D.] 247, Aurelian had proclaimed the sun-god principal patron of the empire and dedicated a temple to him in the Campus Martius. Christmas originated at a time when the cult of the sun was particularly strong at Rome. This theory finds support in some of the Church Fathers’ contrasting the birth of Christ and the winter solstice; indeed, from the beginning of the 3rd century ‘Sun of Justice’ appears as a title of Christ.

“Though the substitution of Christmas for the pagan festival cannot be proved with certainty, it remains the most plausible explanation for the dating of Christmas” (“Christmas and Its Cycle, History,” 1967, Vol. 3, p. 656).

The famed British anthropologist Sir James Frazer (1854-1941) adds to our understanding of the establishment of Christmas:

“Mithraic religion proved a formidable rival to Christianity, combining as it did a solemn ritual with aspirations after moral purity and a hope of immortality. Indeed the issue of the conflict between the two faiths appears for a time to have hung in the balance. An instructive relic of the long struggle is preserved in our festival of Christmas, which the Church seems to have borrowed directly from its heathen rival.

“What considerations led the ecclesiastical authorities to institute the festival of Christmas? … It was a custom of the heathen to celebrate on the same twenty-fifth of December the birthday of the Sun, at which they kindled lights in token of festivity. In these solemnities and festivities the Christians took part.

MYSTERY BABYLON - The Religious Babylon - Part 2

Who is The Woman Called Mystery Babylon

Revelation 17 :1-5 KJV 
1And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the GREAT WHORE  that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed FORNICATION , and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the WINE of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy , having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls , having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

In our last teachings on this series, I made known to us that Woman used symbolize the Church, but there are two types of church... The True Church is symbolized as Virgin or Bride. But in the Scripture above, we see that a different Word was used... We see A Great Whore, Fornicator and Harlot was used, signifying a Defiled, Disvirgined, Corrupted,Unholy, and False church.

Now, in verse 1, she sat on many waters signifying many people.. this fake church has dominated many people. This church has suppressed many people by virtue of her growth and the spread of her Harlot daughters as well (v 5). This Church and her daughter churches has put many people in spiritual darkness and bondage.

Many Bible scholars has interpreted this woman to be Roman Catholic Church, which is correct but this woman has given birth to many daughters through her fornication (verse 5). So this woman does not only represent only the Roman Catholic Church, it includes all the other churches that came out of her but still hold on to all her false doctrines. Very soon we will look at all this false doctrines so that we will able to recognize this false churches.


What is her Sin?  

In verse 2, more details was given why she was called a Great Whore...
In the original sense, a whore is a prostitute: someone who has sex for money. The word has since broadened to mean anyone who is money-hungry.
Whores traditionally whored their bodies out for money. But today a whore can be a person that compromises himself in any kind of way for monetary gain. This is the case of Religious Babylon.

It was said the kings of the earth, (i.e. Powerful men,  World leaders, Great Politicians, Religious leaders, Economic wizards, Professionals etc) has committed fornication with this False Church. Fornication simply means a sexual Intercourse between unmarried lady and unmarried Man. Sex can be physical or spiritual. A good example of spiritual sex that took place is the one that happen in the Garden of Eden (hmmmm... Don't let me go there for now, search for yourself, what was the sin that took place in the Garden of Eden?) between Eve and the Serpent. So, her sin is fornication (a spiritual one).

Now,  this false church has Defiled herself by compromising the Truth of the Word of God for political, monetary and Religious gain. In order to become powerful and be in control of all affairs of men, they lay aside the Truth of God's Word for the Philosophy of men, fables and lies of other false religions. Just like Eve did in the Garden of Eden, believing the lie of the devil than disbelieving the Word of God.

Thereby the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk of the wine of their fornication. But, the next question is, what is the wine of her fornication? What does this signify scripturally and spiritually? Stay tuned for the next teaching.

MYSTERY BABYLON - The Religious Babylon - Part 1

Prophecy is to warn, to prepare and to open the eye of the people of God to dangers ahead, to the judgement to come and also the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Victims of prophecies are the people that suffer because of things that has been prophesied about. Victims of Prophecies are found in many places in the bible. Ignorance can make someone be victims of what they did not know. Unbelief, Hardened-heart and carelessness can make many people victims of what they know. We also know that men doctrines has blindfolded many Elect of God in many church organization and Babylonian System.

The primary aim of this topic is to bring the children of God all over the world to the knowledge and understanding of biblical prophecies that should come to pass in this last generation we are. Especially, Prophecies that have to do with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This Mystery Babylon series is one of the most important Prophecies that you as a Christian must understand.

Now, the aim and objective of teaching this Mystery Babylon series  is to show the Truth of the Word that every True Christian should know and understand for their own good, and run for their soul. After this topic, it is now left for you to take action. I will really go a little bit deeper than ever before.

"Actually Babylon had its first inkling in the Garden of Eden when the beast changed God's Word in deception,  whereby causing Eve to accept his word as the authority over God's  Word! And the seed flourished onward! (Gen 3:1, 15). The reality of Babylon had its beginning immediately after the flood at the Tower of Babel. And it has had a long evil cunning history ever since! It's founder was Nimrod. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel in the land of Shinar (Gen 10:8-10). Nimrod was the Grand season of Ham. And after the flood he was one of the first to organize rebellion against God. He inaugurated a new idolatrous Religion! (Gen 11:2-4). And later it spread little by little through out the whole earth. In one phase or another. It continue to rise and control nations! ".

Now, you need to understand that Babylon is of Dual nature.  We have the Religious Babylon and the Commercial Babylon. Revelation 17 is on the Religious Babylon and Revelation 18 is about the Commercial Babylon. Wait a minute. Don't just rush to that passage. Book of Revelation is written in symbols and signs, it was sealed. It has to be unsealed and interpreted correctly by a God-sent messenger for that Purpose. And the messenger will surely be a Prophet. The good news is it has been unsealed and the correct interpretation has been revealed.

Perhaps, you don't know, the office of a Prophet is still one of the main office of the new Testament Ministry. And the book of Revelation Can Only be unsealed and interpreted correctly by The Prophet that God has predestinated for the work at the end of time, in which we are already.

Who is The Woman Called Mystery Babylon?

Revelation 17:3-5 (KJV).

First of all, we need to understand why woman was used?  What does Woman signify in the Scripture,  I mean spiritually? Because John the beloved said, he was carried away in the spirit, so we have to understand first the spiritual interpretation of the Woman, and the LORD shall teach us.

A woman is use as symbol for the Church in the Bible.

A pure woman is a prophetic symbol Jesus use to represent His true Church.

Jeremiah 6:2

"I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman." 

2 Cor. 11:2 KJV 

For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Revelation 19:7-8

[7]Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

[8]And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

You can also read Isa. 62:5, Jer. 33:11, John 3:29, Rev. 19:7; 18:23; 21:2; 21:9; 22:17 and Matt 25.

Jesus symbolizes His true & pure church (Zion) as a pure woman and an apostate church as harlot.

Through out the new Testament,  words like Bride, wife and chaste virgin, were used to describe the true church, and these words pertain to a virgin getting married to her bridegroom or husband. These three words are Prophetic symbol of a true Church of God. But the false church is symbolized as a whore, harlot or Fornicator just as we shall see very soon in our next article. You can read Rev17:1-2; 18:3,9.

In Revelation 12:1, Jesus also symbolizes His True church as a woman "clothed with the sun," with "the moon under her feet," and wearing "a crown of twelve stars." What do these symbols mean? We are not going to that for now. Stay tuned till we reach the book of Revelation Series.

In conclusion,  let me take us to the beginning, Adam was a type of Jesus, a husband or a bridegroom and the first woman, Eve was a type of the true church. Remember Eve was taken out from Adam, Just as the Church (that is you and i) is given birth to out of Jesus Christ as we believe and accept the Gospel. But Eve fell,believing the lie of the devil in place of God's anointed Word. This same spirit that worked in Eve is at work even in this age. Remember Eve started well but later fell, so also many churches has follow this same way of Eve. They started well but they have departed from the true faith and doctrine of the LORD Jesus Christ. THE MYSTERY BABYLON - The Physical Babylon - the concluding part

As I was trying to prepare the teaching on spiritual Babylon, then I stumbled on a latest news on BBC, about an ancient city that has been captured from IS, the town is called Nimrud. Then, I'm redirected by the Spirit to talk more on physical Babylon. In my article on the Origin of Babylon, i mentioned about a man called Nimrod, a mighty hunter before God. 

Based on this news on BBC about the town Nimrud, I want to talk about this town and it's significance in this End of time. Anyone in the Spirit should know that it's not a coincidence for us to be talking about Physical Babylon, Iraq, at this time that the attention of the World Powers are on this same country. 

Permit me to dig into some history as regards Nimrud... Then I say somethings about it significance.... 

"Nimrud is the Arabic and Aramaic name for an ancient Assyrian city, located 30 kilometres (20 mi) south of the city of Mosul , and 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of the village of Selamiyah in the Nineveh plains in northern Mesopotamia . It was a major Assyrian city between approximately 1250 BC and 610 BC. The city is located in a strategic position 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of the point that the river Tigris meets its tributary the Great Zab . The city covered an area of 360 hectares (890 acres). The ruins of the city were found within one kilometre (1,100 yd) of the modern-day Assyrian village of Noomanea in Nineveh Province, Iraq . This is some 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Mosul.

Archeologists believe that the city was given the name Nimrud in modern times after the Biblical Nimrod , a legendary hunting hero. The city was identified as the Biblical city of Calah also written Kalhu , first referred to alongside Nimrod in Genesis 10:11.

In 2015, the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) announced its intention to destroy the site because of its "un-Islamic" nature. In March 2015, the Iraqi government reported that ISIL had used

bulldozers to destroy excavated remains of the city. A video released in the same month showed a lamassu statue in the city being attacked by a terrorist with a sledgehammer . Another video posted online by the group in April 2015 showed the site being destroyed by bulldozers and explosives.

On 13 November 2016, a military statement released by the Iraqi Army claimed that troops have liberated the ancient town completely and raised the Iraqi flag above its buildings and also captured the village of Numaniya, on the edge of the town.

The Assyrian king Shalmaneser I (1274 BC–1245 BC) built Nimrud during the Middle Assyrian Empire . However, the ancient city of Assur (Nineveh, Gen 10:11) remained the capital of Assyria, as it had been since c. 3500 BC.

The city gained fame when king Ashurnasirpal II of the Neo Assyrian Empire (883 BC–859 BC) made it his capital at the expense of Assur . He built a large palace and temples in the city that had fallen into a degree of disrepair during the Dark Assyrians of the region today.

However, in 706 BC Sargon II (722–705 BC) moved the capital of the empire to Dur Sharrukin , and after his death, Sennacherib (705–681 BC) moved it to Nineveh. It remained a major city and a royal residence until the city was largely destroyed during the fall of the Assyrian Empire at the hands of Babylonians empire,  the 3rd world empirie(between 616 BC and 605 BC). The Nineveh Province in which the ruins of Nimrud lie, is still the major center of Iraq's indigenous Assyrian population (now exclusively Eastern Aramaic-speaking Christians ) to this day."

In summary, Nimrud (Calah) was the second largest city in Assyrian Empire of the Bible days that overcame the Egyptian Empire, and later this Assyrian Empire fell in the hand of Nebucadnezzer, the Babylonians empire ruler. And you know, Mosul is also the second largest city in Iraq (the modern day physical Babylon). 

I believe there is a Significance for this to be happening this time, what i foresee is the reawakening of the Spirit of Rebellion that was at work in the life of Nimrod, bringing the world together as a one i.e One World Government. This is one of the topmost agenda of Donald Trump,He want to bring peace Peace between US and her so called enemy nations. Babylon is gathering and we can see a One World Government (A Political Babylon) with a One World Currency is at hand.....

This is not the hour to sleep as they did in the parable of the 10 virgins... This is the hour to keep our eyes open and watch, some end time prophecies are about to come to pass..... Thank God we have the mid night criers, and that's why we are here.... 

As I was trying to bring this reaching to conclusion, something just drop in my Spirit, will Donald Trump be assassinated? Only God knows. But very soon, I will like to do an analysis as regards the era of Assassination in the US Govt.

THE MYSTERY BABYLON - The Three Types of Babylon

Having laid foundation as regards the origin and history of Babylon. I will like to give a short introduction on this topic. 

Babylon or Babel,  simply means confusion.. And the spirit that bring forth the building of the tower of Babel is a rebellious spirit which was at work in the life of Nimrod (in accordance with the meaning of his name,  which is rebel).

So, there is a spirit behind Babylon. Even though the LORD confuse their language and scatter them abroad,  the spirit behind it is still at work since then up till now to accomplish it's ancient plan i.e one world religion,  one world commerce &  one world government. This rebellious spirit will always disobey and do in contrast to God's Word.

Now, scripturally speaking, we can classify Babylon into 3 categories.. Which are

(i) The Physical Babylon 

(ii) The Commercial Babylon,  and

(iii) The Spiritual or Religious Babylon. 

The Physical Babylon

The physical Babylon is simply talking about the exact location of Babylon at this our age i.e the modern day Babylon

Babylon's ruins are located in what is today Iraq, near the modern town of Hilla and on the eastern bank of the Euphrates river.

In 1899, German archaeologists went to the area in Iraq called Tell Babil, and they began to dig and uncover parts of ancient Babylon. In 1978, the president of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, began to rebuild some of the ancient buildings of Babylon. Some of the temples have been built again and also a palace, some walls and an amphitheater.

After hundreds of years of lying in oblivion, ancient Babylon was reincarnated in modern Iraq. We are told that late Saddam Hussein, Dictator of Iraq, spent enormous sums of money in restoring many historical sites, such as the Southern Palace of Nebuchadnezzar, the Processional Way and the Ishtar Gate.

We are informed that Hussein wants to restore Babylon as a symbol of the greatness of the people of Mesopotamia, making it a prime attraction of the Middle East. He considers himself as a twentieth century Nebuchadnezzar, leader of a strong empire.

So,  in conclusion the modern name of Babylon is now Iraq. By the way, the physical Babylon is not the main issue but the Religion and Commercial Babylon which we shall go into in our next teachings.

THE MYSTERY BABYLON- Origin of Babylon

This can be traced to Gen. 11:1-9, the tower of Babel. If you remember vividly,  their intention is to build a tower that will reach the heavens in order to be in one place and not to scatter abroad.  But the will of God for them is to be scattered abroad all over the earth. Verse 1-2, made us known they found a plain in the land of Shinar,  where is this land of Shinar. This will take us to some scriptures:-

Gen. 10:10 -  And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Isaiah 11:11 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Daniel 1:2 - And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Relating Gen 10:10 and Daniel 1:2, there is something shocking.  Because God gave Jehoiakim king of Judah to the hand of Nebucadnezzer the king of Babylon, so why was the land of Shinar used in place of Babylon. Simply because the land of Shinar is the same as Babylon, i.e. Can be use interchangeably. So,  the land of Shinar in Gen 10:10 is the city of Babylon,  it is in this same city tower of Babel was built before God scattered their languages and spread them abroad in order for His Will to come to pass. So,  Babylon has been since the time of Cush,  Grand Son of Noah. 

But,  take note,  God never destroyed the uncompleted tower and he did not destroyed the spirit of obedience that brought such thought, He ONLY cconfound their language. The question now is what now happen to the uncompleted tower after God has confounded their languages and scatter them abroad? 

The ancient Hebrew word, pronounced baw-lawl , means to mix . It was from that root word that the later Hebrew word, pronounced baw-bale , rendered into English as "Babel," originated. It is first found in the Holy Scriptures in the time of Nimrod, for "the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar."

" 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod [see also The Family Of Ham]: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar." (Genesis 10:8-10 KJV)

It was later, at the time of the tower of Babel, that the LORD gave "Babel" the meaning of confusion. By all historical accounts, Babylon was a beautiful city - but it quickly became very "mixed up" beginning with, and caused by, their arrogant defiance toward the LORD.

Although "Babylon" is found about 260 times in the translated Hebrew Scriptures, and "Babel" only twice, the actual Hebrew word is the same i.e. baw-bale , meaning confusion , is the only word actually used throughout the entire Bible.

As stated above, "Babylon" was built by Nimrod, "a mighty one in the earth." Some historians regard Nimrod as the world's first emperor (a later Roman term for a king who rules not only over his own nation, but the nations of other people) - the reason that he was called "a mighty one in the earth." Centuries later, the Babylonian Empire reached its peak of military and religious power under King Nebuchadnezzar - who was given a prophecy of how, although the original "Babylon" would fade as an empire, the imperialism that Babylon created would continue "Babylon" on through many centuries, through 3 more empires (Babylon, then Persia, then Greece, then Rome), right up to the time of the yet-future return of Jesus Christ.

Let me talk on the man,  NIMROD,  before we move on.. 

The Bible states…

Cush was the father of Nimrod, who grew to be a mighty warrior on the Earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.” The centers of his kingdom were Babylon , Erech , Akkad and Calneh in Shinar 

(Genesis 10:8-10 ).

Many consider this to be a positive, complimentary testimony about Nimrod. It is just the opposite! First, a little background study is necessary.

First, what does the name Nimrod mean? It comes from the Hebrew verb marad , meaning “rebel.” Adding an “n” before the “m” it becomes an infinitive construct, “Nimrod". The meaning then is “The Rebel.” Thus “Nimrod” may not be the character's name at all. It is more likely a derisive term of a type, a representative, of a system that is epitomized in rebellion against the Creator, the one true God . Rebellion began soon after the Flood as civilizations were restored. At that time this person became very prominent.

In Genesis 10:8-11 we learn that “Nimrod” established a kingdom. Therefore, one would expect to find also, in the literature of the ancient Near East, a person who was a type, or example, for other people to follow. And there was. It is a well-known tale, common in Sumerian literature, of a man who fits the description. In addition to the Sumerians, the Babylonians wrote about this person; the

Assyrians likewise; and the Hittites . Even in Israel, tablets have been found with this man's name on them. He was obviously the most popular hero in the Ancient Near East.

Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham , the son of Noah -a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God , as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny-seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence upon his own power.

He also said he would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach! and that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers!

In summary,  Nimrod was one of the sons of Cush. Cush was the son of Ham, the lowest and least important of Noah's three sons. Nimrod came from a line which was cursed by Noah: "Cursed be Canaan, a slave of slaves shall he be unto his brothers."

By birth, Nimrod had no right to be a king or ruler. But he was a mighty strong man, and sly and tricky, and a great hunter, a tyrant, and trapper of men and animals. His followers grew in number, and soon Nimrod became the mighty king of Babylon, and his empire extended over other great cities.

In accordance to his name,  He rebelled against God by persuading men upon the earth to disobey God's Instruction.

THE MYSTERY BABYLON - Introduction

I'm trusting God for a revelatory knowledge for everyone that will take time to study deeply and meditate on this series we are going into. Remember, we are still in the same series - Victims of Prophecies. 

Before we go into this topic deeply, let me explain why this topic is needed and why it's coming at this hour.

Let's look at Revelation 18:4-5, 8.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

This is a prophetic warning for the last days generation, which is you and i. If you read Rev. 17:1-7, 18:1-3 and 14:8, you will see Babylon being repeated several times. What this is Babylon signify? Why is God telling us to come out from her? And what's her sin, that God is even ready to punish everyone He met in Babylon?

Now, if this Prophecy about Babylon is expexted to come to pass, which I'm sure will come to pass. Then it's very crucial that you as a true christian should have a complete and correct understanding of who Babylon is and her sins. Looking at what shall befall her and her people, that's why there is a burden in my heart and Holy Spirit is confirming it that i need to teach on this topic, so that many will not say they did not hear about it at the white throne judgment. Mean while, know for sure that this is an unconditional prophecy, nothing can change it, it will surely come to pass.

The word "Babylon" brings to your memory the plight of the Israelites for 70 years in the hand of Babylon and its Kings... But there are lot to know than this. Because John in the book of Revelation 17:3-7 gave us a different insight entirely...

Revelation 17:3-5 KJV

"So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns".

So, Babylon is a mystery i.e it can never be understood without the revelation of the Holy Spirit. So, Babylon is beyond a city or a nation as you might think she is. 

Now, questions that should come to the heart of a hungry, thirsty and serious Christians are...

What is the mystery of the woman Babylon?

Why was it symbolised using a woman? 

Why not a city or a building?

Why is this woman so important that Jesus Christ have to show John beloved vision about her in His End Time Book of the Bible?

What is her significance in this last days?

What did i need to know about her and what action do i need to take before my Lord Jesus comes?

Take time to ponder prayerfully about these questions and allow the Holy Spirit to speak into your heart, even as we go deeply into this topic in my next article...

The Only Safeguard In This End Time - Part 1

Before we continue on our series, Victims of Prophecies. I will quickly talk on the only safeguard we are given by God to guard our spirit and soul in order not to miss the greatest promise in the Bible, the last stage of our redemption, which is the promise of Immortality i.e the redemption of our bodies.

In our last topic, we talk on the false prophets and teachers which are now out there deceiving many Christians with their seductive and lying words, giving them what they themselves want to hear. But for the sake of those that are truly hungry and thirsty for the Truth and Truth alone, i mean the elect and the saints of God (The Wise Virgins) that are tired of Babylon, i have no choice than to make this known to them. 

So, whats this safeguard?

I will be taking this series from a book of one the greatest revivalist. Name withheld for now till the end of this series.

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” 

Isaiah 8;20.

The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their safeguard against the influence of false teachers and the delusive power of spirits of darkness. Satan employs every possible device to prevent men from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible; for its plain utterances reveal his deceptions. At every revival of God's work, the prince of evil is aroused to more intense activity; he is now putting forth his utmost efforts for a final struggle against Christ and His followers. The last great delusion is soon to open before us. Antichrist is to perform his marvelous works in our sight. So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true, that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested.

Those who endeavor to obey ALL the commandments of God will be opposed and derided. They can stand only in God. In order to endure the trial before them, they must understand the will of God as revealed in His word; they can honor Him only as they have a right conception of His character, government, and purposes, and act in accordance with them. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict. To every soul will come the searching test, Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God's immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?

Before His crucifixion, the Saviour explained to His disciples that He was to be put to death, and to rise again from the tomb; and angels were present to impress His words on minds and hearts. But the disciples were looking for temporal deliverance from the Roman yoke, and they could not tolerate the thought that He in whom all their hopes centered should suffer an ignominious death. The words which they needed to remember were banished from their minds; and when the time of trial came, it found them unprepared. The death of Jesus as fully destroyed their hopes as if He had not forewarned them. So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presented. But multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready.

When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, He requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message. The fearful judgments denounced against the worship of the beast and his image, Rev. 14:9-11 should lead all to a diligent study of the prophecies to learn what the mark of the beast is, and how they are to avoid receiving it. But the masses of the people turn away their ears from hearing the truth, and are turned unto fables. The apostle Paul declared, looking down to the last days, “The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.” That time has fully come. The multitudes do not want Bible truth, because it interferes with the desires of the sinful, world-loving heart; and Satan supplies the deceptions which they love.

But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines, and the basis of all reforms ( Are you part of this Sons of God). 

The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority,—not one nor all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support.

Satan is constantly endeavoring to attract attention to man in the place of God. He leads the people to look to bishops, to pastors, to professors of theology, as their guides, instead of searching the Scriptures to learn their duty for themselves. Then, by controlling the minds of these leaders, he can influence the multitudes according to his will.

VICTIMS OF PROPHECIES - Understanding who a False Prophet and Deceiver is - Concluding Part

Deuteronomy 13:3-4
[3]Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
[4]Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

The message of a false prophet is contrasted in Deut. 13:3-4 with loving the true God with all of our heart and soul (life), walking after Him, fearing Him, keeping His commandments, obeying His voice, serving Him, and holding fast to Him. These elements indicate what God wants His people to be focused on, helping to define whether a man claiming to speak for God is truly doing so or not.

Verse 4 mentions obeying God's voice and keeping His
commandments . This is a regular theme with God's true prophets: They always have God's law undergirding their messages. When the Old Testament prophets were sent to warn or inform Israel and Judah, they always pointed out the grievous ways in which the people had transgressed God's law.
False prophets, on the other hand, will not hold the
moral line that God requires. Lamentations 2:14 says that the false prophets "have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions." False prophets will not connect the dots between the sinfulness of a nation and national calamity. They instead focus on something other than God's standard of righteousness.

This same principle appears in Isaiah 8:19-20 . Both houses of Israel were guilty of seeking out mediums and wizards for spiritual guidance, and God's response is very telling: And when they say to you, "Seek those who are
mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. God gives us a standard by which to measure the words of a prophet, pastor or any minister of God, it is the Law and Testimony—His Word. If the prophet's message contradicts what is already established as God's Word, it is evidence that he lacks spiritual understanding. If his words do not line up with God's law and testimony, he is not speaking the truth.

In summary, the hallmark of a true prophet is his upholding of the Word of God, while false prophets dodge moral teaching and instead preach a message that appeals to the masses. Teachings that people want to hear (especially prosperity, leadership, financial breakthrough, relationship, business, blessings and e.t.c). Yes, they are good but why will some church now specialise in that only as if thats the only doctrine in the Bible. They know what they are doing but the sheep are ignorant because they won't sit down with the Word of God to study for themselves.

If the Word of God tells us to take heed and to beware in the last days then why don’t we do it? Why do we go on as if this Scripture doesn’t apply to us? We seem to think that the leaders will do it for us. But the leaders, in many cases, lack discernment. In fact, in some cases, the leaders are the ones who approve of false teachings. Why don’t we test our doctrines and beliefs? Why are these Scriptures in the Bible? Are we to ignore them and assume that we, of all people, cannot be deceived?
No, it’s time to sharpen up the Sword of the Spirit — the revelation of Jesus Christ — and be on guard. It would be better for us to be on guard than to remain ignorant of God’s Living Word. "See, I have told you beforehand" (Matthew 24:25). Jesus didn’t say there would be just a few deceivers in the last days. He said there would be many. "For many shall come… and shall deceive many." This indicates that deception in the latter times is going to be common. There won’t be just a few isolated cases. It will be all around us.

God's truth is abhorrent to the natural mind (Romans 8:7 ), and thus it is quite common for God's prophets to be persecuted, hated and even killed while the false prophets enjoy widespread popularity and support. The current trend of outcome-based churches serves as a good example. Their leaders preach a widely popular message, and thousands of people follow them. Yet, Jesus says in Luke 6:26 , "Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets." Popularity is not a good measurement of
God's pleasure with a leader! Jesus Christ, the Almighty God Himself, when he came to the World, he only had about 120 true followers when His ministry ended (Acts 1:15). This was not due to failure on His part, but because His message could be wholeheartedly believed only by those whose minds God had already prepared to accept it.

"Purpose-Driven" church leaders will not preach the unadulterated Word of God because they know it is divisive. They will not preach or teach the 100% Word of God because they know it would thwart their goals of a large following and a large income. They wont even mention the message of the hour, the Rapture and the coming of the Lord, their messages do not involve repentance, sound doctrine that will make ready their members for the Rapture, rather they focus on messages that will keep their members focus more on earthly things as if Jesus Christ is coming no more. Their messages do not remind people of their moral responsibilities to God and brother, and thus if they claim to speak for God or say that God sent them, we can know from biblical patterns that they are, in fact, false prophets. Their large churches, as amazing as they might seem, are not accurate indicators of God's involvement or blessing. If you find yourself in such gathering or church, then thats Babylon and the only solution is to come of out of her and come unto Zion, lest you shall partake in her punishment.
